Local Wine Lovers Delighted with Santa Barbara Wine Festivals - Enjoy the Finest Wines of Santa Barbara Wine Country

One of the best ways to get acquainted with the many fine estate wines of Santa Barbara wine-growing regions is to attend a Santa Barbara Wine Festival.  Fortunately there are two great wine festivals that celebrate the not only the excellent wines from Santa Barbara County wineries but also the sumptuous and tasty foods.

The Santa Barbara Wine Festival

On June 25, 2011 the Santa Barbara Wine Festival will take place at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History from 2pm to 5pm. The Museum is located along the scenic Mission Creek at 2559 Puesta del Sol Road in Santa Barbara.

While you are in the area there are many Fun Activities in Santa Barbara. Check out the Museum which is one of many fine Santa Barbara Attractions, and nearby are several wonderful Santa Barbara Parks as well as Museums and Botanic Gardens.

The scenic setting provides a perfect place to sip fine Santa Barbara wines from seventy-five of the Central Coast’s esteemed wineries. A variety of culinary delights are also provided.

All proceeds from the Santa Barbara Wine Festival benefit the programs of the Museum of Natural History including its children’s programs.

Santa Barbara County Vinter’s Festival

A classy white-tent event, the Santa Barbara County Vinter’s Festival takes place on April 15-18, 2011 at River Park in Lompoc. The main event takes place on April 16 from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Celebrating the fine wines of Santa Barbara Wine Country, the Vinter’s Festival also features great foods and entertainment as well as a silent auction. Though you will see some formal attire at this very classy event, casual dress is also appropriate as you enjoy an array of superb Santa Barbara wines.

A multitude of booths allow attendees to sample the wines and meet many of the different winemakers of the region. Local restaurants supply some of their finest culinary delights while live music makes for a truly festive atmosphere.

The festival is sponsored by the Santa Barbara County Vinter’s Association. In conjunction with the event the Vinter’s Association, which has more than 130 member vinters, offers a Vinters’ Visa that allows you to visit twelve participating wineries during the four day festival.

While you are in the area a fun thing to do is go sight-seeing in Santa Barbara.
