Kim and Lewis Johnson run a 3.5-acre Kona coffee farm at an elevation of about 2,000 feet above sea level on Mauna Loa volcano in Honaunau in Kona coffee country on the Big Island of Hawaii.
The old variety Arabica Guatemalan coffee plants on Left Coast Farm are cultivated amidst papaya, banana, and avocado trees. The coffee cherry are hand picked, and no pesticides are used. Each bag of coffee is dressed in Aloha print fabric, adding a charming touch.
Kim also breeds Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Gold-Rush Golden Retrievers. Lewis Johnson also works as a Professor and Researcher at the University of Southern California’s Information Sciences Institute.
