Kona Pure Coffee Farm Fertilizes Uses Spirulina and Deep Ocean Water To Produce Gourmet 100% Kona Coffee

Kona Pure Coffee cultivates about 3,500 coffee plants on the slopes of Mauna Loa volcano in the Kona Coffee Belt on western coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. No herbicides, pesticides, or chemical fertilizers are used on the coffee plants.

Kona Pure’s coffee plants are foliar fed and mulched organic matter that includes a special compost tea. Also used by Kona Pure for fertilizing the coffee plants are fish emulsion, 2,000-foot-deep ocean water, Hawaiian spirulina, bokashi, kelp, and biodynamic products.

Growing amidst the coffee plants at Kona Pure’s coffee farm are numerous fruit trees including orange, lime, cadao, curry, sapote, giner, abiu, mountain apple, breadfruit, sugar cane, grapes, green tea, hibiscus tea, jackfruit, grumichama, star apple, lemon, acerola, tangerine, white sapote, black sapote, avocado, surinam cherry, papaya, white pineapple, rambutan, persimmon, and pomegranete.

The farm also grows lots of vegetables, while the animals on Kona Pure farm include chickens, ducks, and turkeys.

Kona Pure Coffee offers for sale Kona coffee cherry (fruit), green (unroasted) Kona coffee, and whole bean roasted gourmet Kona coffee. Kona Pure Coffee is also a member of the Kona Coffee Farmers Association.
